COVID-19, This is Not a Drill

In this time of international crisis, COVID-19 has been utilized by the media to evoke immeasurable anxiety across all platforms. However, statistics shown by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America alleviate the fears felt by many by providing a new perspective. Influenza- a virus, commonly known as the Flu, has been amongst the world for centuries. Every year, thousands are infected and people (usually those incredibly young, elderly, or those with compromised immune systems) do pass away even to this day. COVID-19 is even less threatening than what occurs to us annually; with a death toll at just 6 in America the cause for panic is more than overblown. As long as we take the precautions of staying clean, making Dua, and trusting in Allah through this time- in shaa Allah this hardship will be followed with ease.
